ELAINE SEWARD

ABOUT 

ELAINE SEWARD is a Washington, DC based video producer. With 10+ years experience and a formal background in digital media, production, editing, animation, and design, she is a multifaceted powerhouse when it comes to content creation. 

 

She is a Senior Video Producer at American Chemical Society’s Reactions, a PBS Digital Studios series. Her work here has gained tens of millions of views on YouTube and her work has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, NBC 4’s evening news and her work has been mentioned on NBC’s Saturday Night Live Weekend Update. 

 

Elaine is also an adjunct professor at her alma mater, American University. There she teaches Digital Imaging which is an introduction to the technical aspects of digital imaging in Adobe Photoshop. The course also has a heavy emphasis on the principles of design. 

 

Her and her work has gained recognition including DC Writer’s Association’s Newsbrief Award, Washington Women in Public Relation’s Emerging Leader Award and her work on Reactions received an honorable mention by the Webby Awards. Most influentially, in 6th grade, Elaine and her team won the Danville Middle School Scholastic Bowl, and she has been chasing that high ever since. 

 

Elaine continues to build her skills and has several certificates from School of Motion including Design Bootcamp, Animation Bootcamp, Advanced Motion Methods, and Expression Session.
